17 and 19 year old dating

So of course, I would like to get a general concensus on your reactions to this?I was going out with a 17 year old when I was 14, roughly the same age gap.i suppose my only advice be a true gentleman, upfront with her parents.hope all goes well xx In my honest opinion I wouldn't be happy for my 15 year old daughter to be going out with a 19 year old! Plus I think a 19yr old would have different interests to a 15yr old.The main thing parents are going to be worrying about is sex & alcohol probably.Obviously you're old enough to have sex & drink alcohol & she isn't.

i see age is a number and as long as you get on whats the problem.I am sure her parents would have the worries that have already been mentioned, i.e. If you have a relationship with someone so much younger than you, you will need to appreciate the things that you can do that she can't. You seem very mature and considerate given that you have come on here to ask these .If you are serious about having a relationship, I think the best thing would be to be up front and meet with her parents and reassure them of your intentions. when i was 17 i went out with a considerably older man and my parents werent best pleased at first but after a while they came around as they could see i was stil doing my 6th form work, he was treating me nicely etc etc.) they worried about all the usual suspects sex and alcohol and hoped it would fizzle out.We went out for nearly 8 years- you never know with these things.
